UFOs are automatic probes sent to Earth by an ancient alien civilization

Harvard astronomer Avi Loeb believes that an ancient alien civilization could have sent automatic probes to Earth, and new observations of unexplained air phenomena (UFO\UAP) may be a sign that that aliens are already watching us.

In particular, he believes that the interstellar object “Oumuamua” could be a spacecraft sent in order to receive signals and read the collected information from previously sent probes, writes Loeb in his article in Scientific American.

This is a logical explanation linking two separate themes – Oumuamua’s trajectory and recent UFO sightings. And even if this idea seems too unusual to you, Loeb believes that more researchers should start observing the sky in order to get to the bottom of the truth for themselves.

Loeb concluded that the upcoming UFO intelligence report would have had no chance of reaching the public if the bizarre sightings were Earthly security threats, such as drones from Russia or China. Therefore, UFOs are most likely devices of an extraterrestrial civilization.

What if, Loeb speculates, UFOs have some kind of connection to Oumuamua, an interstellar object that entered our solar system in 2017 and that may have been sent by aliens?

As possible evidence, Loeb points out that Oumuamua rotates as it travels through space, raising the likelihood that its wider flat surfaces contain equipment capable of picking up signals from past robotic probes that were tasked with locating habitable planets.

This makes sense. When you think about it, we send probes to other places in the universe to observe things. It would make sense that another civilization would do the same thing.
