I've been seeing so much news in the recent decade or so about sinkholes eating up whole houses, cars, and areas. I was always scared that one day, I would end up getting devoured by a sinkhole. Do you think more sinkholes will open up in the coming years?

A few years ago we had a lot of flooding in my area. During the flooding there was a sinkhole near my home. It happened on a country road. There was a car sitting vertically in it. After seeing this I think about sinkholes a lot more often.

I personally don't believe in sinkholes, we live on a land area, so I don't think it can be possible. A landslide is more feasible to happen rather than a sinkhole.

This is one of my biggest fears! A few years ago a big sinkhole opened up under this guys house a few hours from me. He was asleep at the time and went down with it. That was one of those stories that stayed on my mind for months after.
