An eagle-eyed anomaly hunter has discovered a curious tower-like structure at the secretive Area 51 base in Nevada.
The base, which has for years been associated with stories of captured UFOs and reverse-engineered alien technology, is now home to yet another mystery - one that comes courtesy of Google Maps.
By zooming in on the north-western side of the base, it is possible to find a tall, peculiar-looking tower that is dark in color and shaped like a triangular prism.
You can find it yourself on Google Earth by entering the co-ordinates 37°14'46.5"N 115°49'24.0"W.
Speculation has been rife over exactly what this tower's purpose could be.
Some have suggested that it might be a control tower related to the nearby airstrips, while others have put forward the idea that it is some sort of science experiment or weather station. https://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/n ... ogle-earth
