It may bear more of a resemblance to a giant pram, but this bizarre looking lunar rover is actually a new prototype to carry astronauts across the moon's surface in the coming decades.

The buggy, which has been designed by aerospace startup Venturi Astrolab, will also be able to crouch down and lift payloads up from the lunar soil, before carrying them under its belly and depositing the cargo at a desired location.

It will be specifically built to handle the lunar terrain and could one day be used to ferry humans around on Mars.

Does NASA really have plans to travel back to the Moon? If so...to me, this is more exciting than this vehicle. This vehicle seems ordinary to me compared to the US actually traveling back to the Moon.

It's still hard to believe that we haven't been back to the Moon since the 60s. I really don't believe it. I really think we've been traveling back and forth to the Moon secretly for years.

I think before humans try to colonize mars, they should first develop a habitable environment, grow plants, and settle in the mood. Moon is close to earth nd flying too and frow will not only be less time consuming but also cost less.
