Elon Musk says people might download their personalities onto a humanoid robot Tesla is making

Elon Musk has high hopes for a future with humanoid robots.

"Humanoid robots are happening," he said. "The rate of advancement of AI is very rapid."

Musk shared his thoughts during a recent conversation with Mathias Döpfner, the CEO of Insider's parent company, Axel Springer, at Tesla's factory in Fremont, California.

He spoke about potential future uses for Optimus, a humanoid robot Tesla is making.

Musk said he thinks it's possible that people may one day be able to download their brain capacities into an Optimus.

If this is possible, this would be one of the greatest achievements in the history of mankind. This is akin to immortality. Imagine being able to upload your personality and memories into an artificial life-form.

Sometimes you just have to wonder, just how far mankind can or could advance if there were no more wars?

I would certainly not want to see a robot that has my personality. I am unique and prefer to remain so. What good will come out of it? This is like a toy of the rich They have nothing better to do.

What if a robot has your personality and wants to do sex with your spouse? What if due to some malfunction, the robot throws you out of your house and owns your family (your kids and spouse) Did Musk also speak about this?
