I truly think that the way technology is advancing, we will see "Data" like androids like what they had in the TV series "Star Trek: The Next Generation" within the next 20 years.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is old technology. Just like the internet was invented decades before the public ever knew about it. So, forget waiting 20 years, we probably have the technology to make "Data" like androids now.
