It is believed that when a crow crows close to your house or even at the gate it comes with good tidings - either you have guests or the post man will come with mail.

I have believed in this and have even prepared myself for welcoming guests and many a time it has come true.

What is your view?

In our culture, it is also believed that when crow crows near your house, guests will arrive. However, crowing or crows does not always mean guests will arrive, sometimes it also means you will get to eat good food. What message the crow is delivering depends on how he crows. But this is just a belief that does not come true all the time.

Suffice it to say that the crow brings good tidings. Here in India the Hindus feed the crows as a ceremony for the dead in their household. And that shows how well respected the crow is
