Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos has invested $3 billion in Alto Labs, a startup that will seek immortality. The project looks very solid – its members include Nobel Prize winner in medicine Shinya Yamanaka and Jennifer Doudna, who received the Nobel Prize for gene editing tool, reports to The Conservation.
Scientists plan to establish the process of reprogramming cells, that is, returning them to a stem state.
At the same time, journalists doubt that scientists will be able to reveal the secret of immortality. However, they are confident that the research team will make outstanding discoveries. https://anomalien.com/jeff-bezos-has-in ... mortality/

I think that immortality will be solved (if it hasn't already been) during my lifetime. There are just too many rich people investing in it for it not to happen.

I think the real question is, "When we finally do solve immorality, who will be given the chance to be immortal?".

If immortality is achieved, how will that change society? Will the immortal be looked at as gods? Will they become leaders like gods? If immorality is achieved, I think it will be the end of the society that we know now.
