I live in North Carolina and ever remember hearing about this case before. And if I did, I forgot about it. This man was truly evil. It's one thing to kill and prey on complete strangers, but this monster was seeking out and preying on people that he knew and talked to often.

It completely boggles my mind when I think about what kind of monster could rape a baby and then kill him by hitting him over the head with a hatchet. Maybe they should start back burning people like this at the stake.
