Is "Remote viewing" real?

I first heard about "Remote viewing" years ago during a radio show. It's when a person can travel to different places mentally to see and observe other things. I'm not sure if it's real or not. What do you believe?

Did you hear about it on the radio show coasttocoastam? That's where I first heard about it. They use to have this guest on called Ed Dames. He claimed to have been trained and worked for the government doing remote viewing. Although I believe that something like remote viewing could be possible, I think Mr. Dames is a fraud.
