I agree with you @mr_iqman, this hearing should be dominating the news. But sadly, there's already some news channels trying to discredit it.

I believe that sometimes "something" must be kept secret in order to keep society in harmony and stop people from panicking. If news like "recovering non-human biological material" is made public, you will be basically making people afraid of the "unknown." I believe this is the sole reason why such discoveries are hidden from the media.
