There is a pervasive legend in India of a secret organization that allegedly has a vast amount of advanced knowledge in their possession. Believed to have been formed over 2000 years ago, the Nine Unknown Men is widely suspected of manipulating political and societal trends in order to further the personal goals of the Nine. But is such a secret organization a reality or is it merely the stuff of legend?

I checked the link
I have been to India, I have read a lot of books on Indian history, culture, philosophy, etc. but never heard of the secret society formed by Indian Emperor Ashoka. I even know that Ashoka's daughter was married off to out king but don't know anything about his secret society.

Reading this article just lets me know how many thousands or millions of secret organizations there are. I think the less known secret societies are the ones that are most intriguing to me.

This just goes to show you that there are secret societies all over the world. We tend to hear about European secret societies and not about the others from all across the world. We just have to remember that there are around 200 different countries in the world so just imagine...
