Nestled in the quiet Sandhills of Nebraska, life can be pretty slow. There isn't much excitement in the rural areas, but the locals will liven it up by sharing stories about the mysterious Walgren Lake Monster. Sometimes known as Alkali Lake, it can be found near the town of Hay Springs and was initially described as a massive forty foot long alligator-like beast but a greyish brown in color and with a horn between the nostrils.
